Jordan Saenz (they/them) is a movement artist, fiber artist, plant medicine maker, early childhood educator, and choreographer currently practicing on Tongva land. Their visceral work harnesses movement for storytelling, catharsis, and spiritual connectivity. Jordan grew up in Colorado, finding wonder in the mountain landscapes, and the halls of their mother’s dance studio. In 2012, they graduated with a BFA from the Sharon Disney Lund school of dance at CalArts and has since worked with artists Ariana Daub, Stephanie Zaletel (Szalt), Lindsey Redtail, Rebecca Bruno, Sabrina Johnson, and Genna Maroni. Recently, Jordan was a featured artist for the Terra Nova Residency through Rosanna Gamson World Wide. Outside of concert dance, Jordan is passionate about live music and has spent the last decade immersed in community with many notable and gifted musicians. Some of their collaborations include Meerna, Rose Droll, Zelma Stone, Myia Folick, Art Feynman, FYOHNA, and more. @josaenzzz
